It’s hard to believe we’re already in May! Now is a great time to take a look at your finances and make sure you’re on track. Here are a few things to think about:

• Budget Check – Have your spending or income changed at all? It might be worth taking another look.
• Retirement Contributions – Are you putting enough into your 401(k), IRA, or HSA? If not, there’s still time to catch up.
• Goals Review – Whether you're saving for something big or just trying to stay on track, your plan may need a small tweak.

Thinking About Home Equity?

We’ve had a few folks ask recently about using their home equity, so we wanted to share a few things to keep in mind:

• Know What It’s For – Home equity can be helpful for things like home improvements or significant expenses, but it’s important to use it wisely.
• Market Changes – The value of your home, and consequently your equity, can fluctuate with the market.
• Tax Rules – If you’re using a home equity loan, make sure you know the tax rules, especially if it’s not for home-related projects.
