This month, we’re excited to spotlight U-Vest® Financial’s Founder and CEO, Michael Davino! Michael’s journey has been one of growth, leadership, and commitment to excellence. Here are a few of his impressive milestones:
- Founder and CEO of U-Vest® Financial: Since starting his financial advising practice, 14 years ago, which later became U-Vest®, Michael has grown the firm to serve over 3,000 clients and manage more than $600 million in assets.
- Industry Recognition: Recently recognized as a 2024 Forbes Best in State Wealth Advisor, Forbes Top Next-Gen Wealth Advisor, and one of Advisor Hub’s 1,000 Advisors to Watch.
- Community Leadership: Michael plays a key role in the Tallahassee community, as past President and now Financial Advisor to the Animal Shelter Foundation, a board member for Working Well Inc., and on the CFP Board at FSU.
- Commitment to Helping Children: In 2023, Michael led U-Vest® in supporting causes for children with special needs and childhood illnesses, including partnerships with the Hang Tough Foundation, Shands Children’s Hospital, and Alabama Children's Hospital.
Beyond his professional and community efforts, Michael enjoys life with his wife Kyle (married ten years this March) and their three children: Micah (7), Norah (5), and Scarlett “Scout” (6 months). Michael’s hobbies include golfing, gardening, and supporting his beloved New York Mets—he even named his son “Shea” after their iconic stadium! Michael and Kyle also own and operate Just Fruits and Exotics, a family-run plant nursery in Crawfordville, FL.

This year’s U-Vest® Annual Conference was an incredible success, bringing together financial professionals and clients for a weekend filled with networking, learning, and innovation. Here are some key highlights:

Important Tax Update: Relief for Hurricane Helene Victims
If Hurricane Helene impacted you or your business, the IRS has announced tax relief. Various tax deadlines for affected individuals and businesses have been extended to May 1, 2025. This includes extensions for filing individual, corporate, and other returns.
