This month, we are excited to feature Gary Parsons, a dedicated advisor at U-Vest Financial with a wealth of experience in both financial planning and community mentorship. With a passion for education and service, Gary has made a lasting impact in the Tallahassee area and beyond.

  • Career & Expertise: Gary has extensive experience in financial advising and is committed to helping clients achieve their long-term financial goals. In addition to his advisory role, he teaches the Insurance Course for the CFP Program at Florida State University and serves on the program's board, shaping the next generation of financial professionals.

  • Community Engagement: Gary has been named Mentor of the Year for Leon County Schools in the past, recognizing his dedication to guiding students. He also owns Café de Martin, which frequently hosts fundraisers to support local initiatives.

  • Family Focus: A proud father and grandfather, Gary has three sons and four grandchildren, and he values spending quality time with his family.

  • Hobbies & Interests: When he’s not advising clients or teaching, Gary enjoys exploring his genealogy, reading historical biographies of figures, and studying World War II. He is also committed to lifelong learning and is currently working toward bilingualism through weekly Spanish classes.
